Located on the northwest corner of
Kingsley and Ashley streets, this mixeduse
project responds to its context
on the fringe between downtown Ann
Arbor and the surrounding residential
neighborhood. The project consists of
three buildings; an existing brick building
faces Kingsley to the north; the East
Lofts rise to nine stories behind it for
views in all directions; the West Lofts
terrace down Ashley and step back from
the street edge to respect the residential
scale of the neighborhood. Kingsley
Lane Lofts anticipates the need for
greater residential density in Ann Arbor
while maintaining a thoughtful approach
to design which blends industrial
archetypes with contemporary lifestyles.
These renderings document the
projects development.
